angel funded within a week of posting on linkedin that i was going full time. explored cofounder relationships, flew on a private jet with a billionaire, conducted 50 user interviews with gps, built an mvp and started user testing. built a profile as a thought leader in primary care and ai through linkedin and the speaker circuit.
then best practice (circa 70% of australian gp market share) announced a landmark deal with lyrebird. the competitive headwinds were insurmountable. pivoted into reggie 2.0.
lessons: deeper respect for integrations and incumbents in healthcare. stop building the team as the prerequisite and just go build. product execution over fundraising.
